For nearly two decades, the IEEE International Conference on Utility and Cloud Computing (UCC) has been at the forefront of the distributed computing revolution. It stands as a leading international venue for defining the architecture, performance, and future of cloud, edge, and utility-driven computing paradigms. Recognizing the need for a sustained, high-quality academic and industry forum, it officially evolved into UCC. Since those early days, the conference has tracked and shaped the incredible transformation of utility computing—from a theoretical, emerging concept into the foundational backbone of modern global digital infrastructure.
The strength of UCC lies in its vibrant, international community. The conference has spanned the globe, leaving its mark on major cities across Asia, Australia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. This global rotation has ensured that the research and standards discussed at UCC incorporate diverse perspectives from around the world. Our 2026 edition marks an exciting new chapter in our history, bringing the UCC community to South America for the very first time, proudly hosted in Florianópolis, Brazil.
